Elfbar Forbidden! 🚫 These models are no longer allowed

In Switzerland, some Elfbar products are banned due to new regulations. The new Tobacco Products Act limits disposable vapes and prefilled pod systems to 2ml of e-liquid. We'll show you the best alternatives and explain which models are affected by the ban (as of July 2026):

Elfbar Hybrid Vapes: Soon no longer available

Since the introduction of the new Tobacco Products Act in October 2024, Elfbar hybrid vapes like the Elfbar AF5000 have enjoyed great popularity. With systems of this type, a pre-filled 2ml liquid tank can be supplemented by a 10ml refillable container. However, a Federal Supreme Court ruling from June 2026 unexpectedly concludes that the Elfbar AF5000 and the Lost Mary BM6000 vehicles are not roadworthy.

This decision sends a clear signal to all 2+10ml systems, and it is to be expected that these will disappear from the Swiss market sooner or later.

Elfbar 1500 prohibited (only with nicotine)

The Elfbar 1500 essentially ushered in a new wave of disposable vape success in Switzerland. This model was the first to sell in very large numbers. Until the ban on October 1, 2024, the Elfbar 1500 was one of the best-selling disposable e-cigarettes in Switzerland. Important: The nicotine-free version of the Elfbar 1500 remains permitted; the ban only applies to the nicotine-containing version.

Elfbar 2500 prohibited

The Elfbar 2500 is essentially the big brother of the Elfbar 1500, as it has an 8ml e-liquid tank instead of 4.8ml. Unfortunately, popular flavors like the Elfbar Juicy Peach will disappear from the Swiss market forever with the ban.

Elfbar Lowit banned

The Elfbar Lowit is a large prefilled pod system, which can hold 2500 to 5500 e-liquids per pod. Puffs promises. Because each pod contains more than 2ml of e-liquid, the Elfbar Lowit was also banned. This means that a significantly more environmentally friendly alternative to the large disposable vapes is disappearing from the market. It's a shame, because precisely these devices should be promoted because of their better environmental impact.

The Elfbar TE5000 was only available on the Swiss market for a short time due to technical defects. Therefore, the loss of this model should be easy for the vaping community to bear.
